Scenario's are one of the fundamental elements of EscapePath.
A scenario:
1. Contains a description of the environment in which the game takes place e.g. aboard a spaceship, in a tomb, etc.
2. A map of the playing area.
3. A reference to the version of the core rules for which the scenario was or is being developed.
4. A list of 'published' additional rules that should be employed.
5. Scenario specific rules.
Anybody who wants to develop their own scenario should contact me by posting a proposal in this Overview forum. If the proposal is accepted I will create an area of the forum for you to develop your scenario.
Other readers and members should note that the scenario developers will be given moderator rights to their own forum i.e. they can edit and delete posts in those areas.
Scenario Developers please note:
1. You should not post anything here unless you are happy for other people to use it. If you want to retain copyright on something, don't post it here.
2. The ability to edit and delete posts is one that must be taken very seriously. Making changes that alter the context of what has been said is strictly prohibited and will result in your moderator privilages being revoked, the possible closure of your forum, and perhaps even your being banned from posting on EscapePath as entirely. As you can see, I feel very strongly about this. Moderators should endeavour to set an example for other memebers to follow. Absues will not be tollerated.
3. Success development of your scenario will probably depend on your getting others to join you in testing and developing it. If you're smart enough to develope a scenario then I'm sure you're smart enough to figure out what will encourage people to join in and what is likely to deter them. Think before you post. |
